Addicts who are institutionalized and unable to attend meetings often have their first experience with Narcotics Anonymous thanks to a panel from Hospitals and Institutions. Recovering addicts carry the message into residential drug treatment centers, jails, mental institutions, and other facilities. Having an opportunity to bring the gift of hope to an addict still suffering and unable to go out to meeting is an amazing experience. Panel leaders must have 1 year clean and panel members must have 6 months to share on a panel. The H&I Committee now meets on the first Thursday of the month.
